I work with you to create this and the end product is a binder and/or digital files which capture all the needed information 20 custom forms.
Settling Estates
I help heirs/executors handle the numerous non-legal tasks of estate settlement: finding and valuing assets, coordinating with tax professionals on final tax and estate tax filings, navigating the myriad financial institutions-each with their own rules!! Even when people are well prepared, estate settlement for the heirs/executors is a time consuming process that comes at an already-stressful time. Estate attorneys refer people to me to help settle estates as they concentrate on any legal and probate court issues.
Serving as your Personal Financial Assistant
Let me get you to the level of financial organization that will give you peace of mind. For example, I can track expense and budgeting; streamline your bill paying system; coordinate with your tax, estate planning, banking and investment professionals. Everyone is unique! The broad range of tasks I have tackled include recovering $500,000 of lost securities; retitling assets into a trust per the estate attorney’s instructions; decreasing fraud risk by putting alerts on and monitoring financial accounts frequently; helping with major financial transactions such as sale and purchase of property, refinancing loans, reducing tax penalties/interest by working with tax advisors to resolve old tax issues.
About The Founder
Susan Dykstra has been a finance professional for over 35 years since graduating from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She has worked for investment banks, venture capital firms, corporations and non-profits, as a principal, a partner and a Chief Financial Officer. But when she worked for a financial planning firm, she learned that she loved helping people organize their financial, estate planning and tax information. Most people don't love financial organizing and therefore put off the important task of organizing their information.
